Everything Fabric Warehouse with Brad Schacht

In this episode of Kasper On BI we are talking about Fabric warehouse. Fabric warehouse brings the power of a distributed SQL engine to the Fabric ecosystem, combining enterprise-grade analytics with the flexibility of open data formats in OneLake. By bridging traditional warehousing and lakehouse patterns, Fabric Warehouse enables organizations to run fast, secure, and cost-efficient workloads without compromising agility. Of course the most important here is that you can do everything with SQL the language we all know and love.

We will discuss how Fabric warehouse is different from Synapse and how it is different then a Lakehouse. When do you choose what? Why would you want to look at a Fabric warehouse? How does OneLake play in all of this and much more.

The expert on today’s episode is Brad Schacht, Brad is a program manager on the Fabric and Azure Data Customer Advisory team with a wealth of experience in the data warehousing world starting off from the data allegro days.

Your host is Kasper de Jonge, Principal Program manager on the Fabric team at Microsoft. This episode is also available as podcast on your favorite podcast provider like iTunes or Spotify.
