Reusing a dataconnection with multiple imports in PowerPivot

When you want to import different query’s from the same datasource I would recommend to reuse the datasource connection. Each time you click the import data

a new datasource connection is created.

What i would recommend is using the existing connection to make a new source, click existing connections

Select the datasource you want to connect to and select the data you want to import. This makes maintenance a lot easier.

    1. Did it actually say it imported rows in that dialog? I would suggest importing text files with Power Query, the text import is much better there.
